It's another day in South Carolina, filled with more friend time, and more Charleston explorations. Today, we were even treated to some sun! We found the historical, fruit-decorated houses we'd been searching for, and enjoyed the beautiful gardens of the Nathaniel Russell House. We didn't visit the museum itself, but the grounds were lovely, and I picked up a souvenir in the gift shop that I can't wait to cook from.
The trees of Charleston are truly amazing. In a waterfront park, we found "live oaks," whose leaves never turn brown. Their branches stretch, twining, draping outwards, forming a canopy above the park. Needless to say, they are perfect for climbing!
