Order Tara's Bicycle Touring Cookbook Today!

Land Hunting, Part Fourteen: We Did It!

by Tyler

I'm fast asleep in the passenger's seat. We're somewhere in Ohio, and Tara is nudging me. Without a word, she hands me the phone with a smile, and continues driving. I'm groggy and confused, blinking away a hazy veil that has been drawn over my eyes. As the world slowly comes into focus, I can see that we've received a text message from Bonnie.

Your new offer was accepted. Congratulations! I'll forward a copy of the signed contract to you and your attorney.

I know you are going to be drowned in comments of congratulations from your nearest and dearest. Even so, just wanted to let you know that there is a middle-aged great aunt on the west coast of Australia doing a bum dance round her dining room table because of a land sale on a different continent to a couple she hasn't yet had the luck to meet.

It's totally selfish! I adored your travelling tales and with your joy for life and openess I know I've got my 'morning cup of tea' read sorted with fabulous homesteading tales for the forseeable future. It was lovely news to start the morning with. Congratulations, I'm so happy for you!

Jodie- Yay indeed!

Caro (BB) - Thank you so much!

This line right here made our week --> "just wanted to let you know that there is a middle-aged great aunt on the west coast of Australia doing a bum dance round her dining room table because of a land sale on a different continent to a couple she hasn't yet had the luck to meet"

Tyler's mom was with us yesterday evening when we read your comment and subsequently smiled and "awwwwww"ed and laughed, but she was confused about the dancing part. So, last night in a kitchen in Minnesota, there was a young couple doing an explanatory bum dance and thinking of you!

Thanks Caro!
