Order Tara's Bicycle Touring Cookbook Today!

This Time Next Year...

by Tara

We will be exploring the ruins of Buddhist temples at Angkor Wat, in Cambodia. Hopefully elephant-riding and talking to ancient incense-sellers will happen as well.

Smiling at Buddha's feet.

Tyler, let's ride on elephants! :-)

Could it be any more beautiful?

Currently Reading: Let's Go Southeast Asia

Current Favorite Things: Javanese shadow puppetry, Vietnamese water puppetry, Thai night markets where all the locals eat their favorite foods after dark (and all the travelers do too)

Hello Ms. Allan & Mr. Kellen :-)

Since I'm looking for good reading and since all the cycling blogs I follow are not feeding me fast enough, I decided to click the '...or start at the beginning' button and start anew your great adventure...cuz you're my best inspiration to one day make a big turn in my life and ride my bike further than in my own canadian province or Vermont!
So, if I missed something important the first time, at least I will have the chance to catch it this time...
And from now, I will always be the first comment on your blog...;-)))))
I hope you had a nice Timber framing class this week, can't wait to read about it and see the pictures...

PS En passant, Tara, si tu veux pratiquer ton français, Andrée s'est amusé à retracer nos nombreuses mini-aventures en famille dans son nouveau blog: laviesur2roues.com mais c'est juste entre vous et nous, d'acc! ;-)

Hi David, glad to hear that you're reading along again from the beginning. It's always so nice to know that you're inspired by our journal. :-)

The workshop went well, with plenty of highs and lows of course. Once Tyler's broken computer gets fixed, we'll be posting photos galore.

Thanks for the link to your blog-- I'll have to check it out!

Hope you two are well!

I've just found your website via Face books' Travelling Two post about your cookbook. It looks amazing, well done.
So after jumping here and there on your fabulous site, I thought I'd start at the beginning :)
12 months ago my husband and I started dreaming of going bike touring in Europe for a year in 2016. This time next week, this dream will be one step closer as we set of on our very first 2 week cycling tour, riding from Adelaide to our home in Central Victoria (Australia). Until then, I'll be reading all your past adventures, especially the Europe ones!

Dear Inge,

Thanks for taking a minute to say hello, and for all the kind words about our work! Tara and I read loads of bicycle touring journals before our trip--it's really cool to know that our writing will be a part of that tradition for you :)

I hope your first cycle tour is a grand success! Say, if you're looking for some info about budgeting, check out our expense database by clicking on the curled page in the upper right corner of our site.

Tailwinds,

Tyler & Tara
