Hey Tara and Tyler, I was wondering if you two were considering calling in blog followers and friends to help plaster the house?

It's a house! Glad to see the progress (and there IS progress!)--also, I have to admit, I'm lucky to be watching that progress and not actually dealing with flying straw debris, tortuous details and other difficult parts of the learning process. I viewed the very useful video on Jenna's blog about the terrible saying 'if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right'. We would never do anything, nor learn anything, if we followed this damning advice. Keep up the excellent work! You guys rock!

Can I take a quick moment to hold your hands and tell you what an amazing job you're doing? I KNOW how awful it is to be in the middle of a huge project, and this is such a huge project!

Out here, from this perspective, you are SO much closer to having a house - even if there may be a bit of peeling paint in the mix - and not just ANY old house either. Nope. Yours is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!! Not to mention absolutely unique, special, and beautifully designed.

In my experience all creative projects begin with delight and excitement, and (eventually) end with them too. AND the middle FREAKING. SUCKS.
Without exception when it's truly a creative project.

So I want to say it again. You are both doing an astoundingly amazing job, and I am so very grateful for your courage and endurance and your generosity in sharing it all. Especially this god-awful sucky middle.

Love, Me.

Maddie - We've considered it, but the trouble with getting a bunch of people to help is, you actually have to know what you're doing in order to show others. And you have to be pretty organized. And you have to be ready by a certain date. All of this can be incredibly stressful!

That being said, we always need help. If you want to stop up, drop us a line!

Nancy - Thank you so much for your encouragement and your vote of confidence! How wonderful it is to know that you can see major progress. It's often a forest-for-the-trees scenario around here. :-)

Nicki -

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kind words and encouragement. This is so true:

In my experience all creative projects begin with delight and excitement, and (eventually) end with them too. AND the middle FREAKING. SUCKS.

Thank you again for all the good vibes you're sending us!
