Thessaloniki by Night

by Tara

Tyler spent the entire day staring into his computer screen programming while I ran around town running errands: mailing a package home, picking up yarn for another knitting project, stocking up on food for our departure tomorrow, and generally making sure we're ready to head off into Macedonia.

Our various projects took the entire day, and we found ourselves starving and very ready to be done with work at 9 PM, so we ventured out into town for a bite to eat. We were half expecting everything to be closed, but thankfully, we found a bustling downtown full of of busy souvlaki restaurants. We bought two delicious pitas full of meat to treat ourselves for a long, productive day of work.

At first pass, I didn't think Thessaloniki was a very attractive city. By night however, the dingy bits are blackened out and the more attractive ones are lit up.

Just out of curiosity, which Star Trek series have you been watching. I was curious since it is mentioned frequently, but I thought it may be too nerdy to ask. Curiosity got the best of me...

TNG! We started DS9 too, but haven't had much time to watch it.

That's great! We have been watching TNG as well. It's not really Emily's cup of tea, but I think she suffers through it since I loved it so much when I was a kid. She prefers the original series.
