Order Tara's Bicycle Touring Cookbook Today!

Quick Update

by Tyler

We're just north of Hexham camping. Everything is wonderful! We are still journalling every night. We have loads of pictures and stories to post but no viable internet connection with which to do so yet.

More posts should appear sometime tomorrow!

I got all caught up tonight. Look forward to reading more. I met your dad Tyler. He needed a little help removing a screw from your footpeg. He stood in the exact same spot and helped in all the same ways as you do at the shop, when I've helped you with your stuff. It was very enjoyable & funny all the similarities you share. Obviously, he's raised a great son. Myslef & Arnis miss you both. Peace.

Are you making these comments via your cell phone? That's awesome! At least you can do that, even if you don't have internet. The next step is getting Internet on your cell phone and syncing it up with your laptop.

The article about your trip appeared in the Champaign-Urbana News Gazette today. Here is the link to the article:

And not only was it in the paper, it was on the front page, with two color pictures!! A picture of your tent and bikes by the shore in Scotland at that beautiful spot, and a picture of the two of you. How cool is that?

Now that you are celebrities from being on the front page of the NG, you will probably hear from many that you barely remember. Tara, you observed my French class at Central High School a few times before moving to MN. I just had to check in and say "Bon Voyage!" What an awesome experience this is! I'll be watching your blog.

Debbie, of course I remember you! I cannot believe I didn't see your comment sooner! It is wonderful to hear from you. In a few weeks we'll be taking the ferry to France and I'm looking forward to some time brushing up on my speaking skills. Also, hopefully we'll get some better weather!
Thank you again for letting me observe your class. Maybe someday (after this trip is over!) I will be a French teacher. :-)
