Journal Stats

by Tyler

As of this writing, we've had this journal for 2,748 days. Since then we've published 1,409 entries. I'm honestly shocked to say that in the aggregate, that means we've written something once every two days for the last 7.5 years. We're pretty dang far off that mark for 2015—we've written less than 30 entries. My former self, who (with Tara) once wrote 455 in a year would be ashamed of me.

I think it's time to get back into the swing of this thing. I hope I'll look back on this journal entry as the moment when we turned things around, when our average started trending in the opposite direction for the first time in years. I miss having a richly documented story of our travels through this life. As it turns out, nobody can make that happen but us. Better get to it.

Oh! Please do creep up closer to your old stats. I guess it means life is busy and exciting for you which is wonderful. But, being totally selfish, some of us miss having our morning coffee to tales of your adventures on another continent. I have read each of your journal posts (initially because of your cycle touring) and I love seeing what 2 determined and gutsy, young people manage to achieve. Best wishes and I'm eagerly awaiting any posts you can find the time to write. Love from Oz x

How wonderful! I agree with other readers that it's lovely to think of you living your adventures, even when you don't have time to document them. But selfishly I'm very much looking forward to more of your thoughtful writing and beautiful photography in the future.

Hear hear! I missed reading your posts as well. Glad to read of your re-commitment, I miss your goings-on, no matter how fast or slowly they may be going!
