Order Tara's Bicycle Touring Cookbook Today!

Thank You

by Going Slowly

We often forget that people actually read our journal (outside of family anyway). We're really just trying to document the physical and emotional journey we are taking together. After a rough couple of days, feeling a bit down and isolated, it was wonderful and astounding to check our email and find that we had so many encouraging comments from lots of people, many of whom we don't even know!

It did us both a world of good to read everyone's kind words and realize how much love and support is out there following us. Almost every day we bike for several hours and then we camp and prepare to do it again. Sometimes it is fun, sometimes it isn't. We're certainly not going to give up and quit when the going gets tough though. Thank you for helping us remember that we're on an epic journey!

Tyler left this by our last free-camp hoping that the right person would see it. We both felt it was fitting:

THANK YOU

Tara and Tyler,Thank You!!! Thank you for allowing us to be part of this journey with you. Due to my hectic schedule, I sometimes go days or maybe a week or so without logging on to this site. When I do have the opportunity to catch up and see what you guys have been up to, I love reading the detailed journal entries and viewing the fantastic photos you provide.

I cannot begin to imagine the physical and emotional challenges you guys face on a daily basis, but just knowing the both of you, I am quite sure that you both support one another and pick each other up when things get you down. The attributes that I admire so much about you Tara and Tyler is that you have such positive outlooks and attitudes. You both are always so eager to learn and adapt to new challenges and to your surroundings.

You guys Rock! Keep smiling and enjoying the special time together and understand that you two are experiencing things that most of us can only dream of. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences through your journal entries and pictures.

Take care, and hopefully we'll talk soon.

You are writing an epic novel with beautifully romantic overtures! Your romance with the country, the road and each other is a great read! Keep on dancing (slow) you're my heros!

Well I figured this was an appropriate post to let you know I'm following along (from the very beginning) and enjoying your adventures from nearly over a year ago! It certainly helps with the slow days at the office - dreaming of completing a similar trip one day! Congrats on getting your Russian visa - you must be looking forward to getting back on the road again! Thanks for sharing your trip to allow dreamers (and maybe one day do-ers) to live vicariously through your experiences.
