Today, while Tyler was busy programming, I was outside in my work jacket and chaps, tackling the massive cleanup operation in our woods.
I spent most of the morning dragging smallish logs and dead treetops out of the woods with our truck. I also cut brush into manageable pieces with a chainsaw, and tossed it on a fire rekindled from yesterday's embers.
When lunchtime rolled around, Tyler prepared food and tea for me, while I sat my woodchip-covered behind on our nice cushions and tried not to get anything dirty.
By the end of the day, I was scarcely able to lift my chainsaw, so Tyler helped finish the final haul while I stared into the fire, utterly exhausted.
It was a good kind of tired.
