Working in BuÅŸteni

The plan for today was to take a cable car from BuÅŸteni up to a series of mountain-top rock sculptures "Sfinxul and Babele", formed slowly over years and years of heavy blowing winds. Upon learning that the ride would cost over $50 USD, we had second thoughts.

Taking into consideration that we've been on the highest cable car in Europe and we still found more much more joy in the free, simpler pleasures available to us, we decided to forgo this excursion. I think we've learned our lesson, finally.

Instead of doing the tourist thing, we spent the entire day working in our cozy pension and talking with family on Skype.

Cable car or no, BuÅŸteni is a beautiful little mountain town. Here is the view just outside our accommodations:
